In the Spring. . .

. . .a fangirl's fancy lightly turns to thoughts of fests (apologies to Tennyson). Yes, it's that's time again, when we look forward to the spring fest season. Here's what's up in the HP world. . .

• femmefest started posting today, with a long and meaty AU (Hermione/Pansy, Luna/Pansy). There were several old lady prompts for this fest, so I'm hopeful that some old-lady fic will result.

• I finished my hp_beholder story by the deadline! Posting begins on April 9.

• Get ready for three, count 'em, three movies about. . .Newt Scamander? That's right, Potterheads, word is that the "Fantastic Beasts" films are going to be a trilogy. Read all about it here. Sounds like Indiana Jones meets Hogwarts or something. Can't get too excited about this, frankly, if it's going to be mostly male-centered action/adventure. But of course I'll give the first film a try.

• I'm eagerly awaiting my Remix assignment. I've offered to write both HP and Star Trek: Voyager.
