Here's my second entry for this year's "Summer Wish List" event at

rarepair_shorts. The wonderful Phantomtomato has given me beautiful gifts, and I wanted to reciprocate. Like me, PT is a fan of second-person and first-person povs, so I relished the chance to use them. I'd intended the fic to be a lot more femmeslashy, but the characters had other ideas.

I wrote this for the International Day of Femslash Challenge over at hp_femsmut. I chose two prompts, but RL being the pesky, time-consuming thing that it is, I had to combine them into one story. The prompts: "Minerva/Augusta, worried about Neville" and "self-assured lesbian fic, not just girls experimenting, preferably with some background."

hp_femsmut rules require that all stories be NC-17, which I find the older characters are sometimes resistant to. Oh, they'll be hot enough in private, but in public, they seem to prefer that authors maintain some writerly decorum. Still, everyone feels a little brazen now and then, even Augusta Longbottom. So I hope you like my first NC-17 version of old-lady sex.
