One final rec from hp_holidaygen before the reveals on New Year's Day:

Things Left Unsaid by Anonymous delphipsmith (Severus Snape, Hogwarts Staff, Carrows; G)

This fic manages to be both heartwarming (in a good sense) and painful. Set in the DH year, it features many of the elements I love: bittersweet Snape/McGonagall friendship, a sentient Castle, inventive magic, IC characters. Snape is a perhaps little softer than usual, but believably so.

Sounds great *prepares fic for kindle* The rec also made me realise that while I'm "following" this fest, I forgot about it as I don't get notifications for it and haven't been on my friends page for ages. I suppose I'm in for quite some treats now... *looks sheepish*
