I'm sitting here trying to avoid packing and last-minute cleaning (I leave tomorrow to visit my family, and I like to come home to a clean house), so I feel that in order to justify my time in the recliner, I should be the Flist Crier -- you now, someone who alerts you to important news on-line (just in case you, who are no doubt working hard and doing exactly as you ought, miss something.)
The news item of the moment is this: Today's
hp_beholder fic has been posted, and it's an actual novel. Nearly 80,000 words. Called Fantastic Beasts and How to Tame Them: A Guide for the Seasoned Auror, it features Moody (yay!) and Kingsley (yay!) and Snape (yay!) and Abraxas (yay!) and Draco (okay, I enjoy an occasional Draco). No women, apparently (bummer), but -- Moody! Kingsley! Snape! Abraxas!
And there's lovely art.
I'd rather lost my Beholder mojo lately, but now I'm excited again. I'm looking forward to this one (and there are several others that look interesting, too, the dearth of Minerva notwithstanding /g/ [and she did have her turn in the past] -- there's Andromeda, Mundungus, Augusta, Amycus. Truly, it's a rarepair lover's delight.)
