Yet again, we have been ahead of our time. If only we had had the sense to make cash money on our old lady porn. Because -- check this out: an article in Time magazine about Japanese Elder Porn. Yes, here's a 74-year-old porn star and a report the growing interest in explicit sex videos for elders. The director says the films "capture viewers' hearts."
I submit that we in the OLSB have been captivating for several years now. And we have much better titles than the for-profit Elder Porn. (I mean, seriously -- are you going to be running to the video store to rent something called Forbidden Elderly Care? Well, I bet you are now.)
Anyway, my point is this: we need to start making money with the Smut Brigade. No, I'm not suggesting we audition to be in porn films (although, if you feel the urge, go for it). No, we should write. Start our own romance-novel imprint: "ElderQuin" or "Mills and (Aging Baby) Boomers."
Let's get busy. It's (almost) NaNo month, after all.
