February is Minerva Month!

It's Minerva Month at
discusshpfic, an interesting community that each week posts a new story for discussion.
I've long wanted a community where we could have a good literary back-and-forth, really discussing the strengths and weaknesses of various fanfics, the way I love do with "literary" works. I know that in fandom there's a tradition of not saying anything critical about others' work, and on many levels, this approach is an excellent way to preserve community and friendship and to celebrate whatever it is that brought us to a given fandom. But often, the stories fanficcers write are the equal of profic, and I want to pay them the compliment of true literary debate, warts and all: what works, what doesn't, why it does or doesn't, and so on.
This comm could be a chance to have such a debate, and what better way to start than with Minerva Month. There will be a new Minerva story posted each week in February. This week's story is Dark and Fearsome by
chantefable, a Minerva/Walburga story originally posted at
minerva_fest. Drop by and drop a line.
