How are you all? Random news. . .

minerva_fest is up and running! It's my first time as a fest mod. So far, it's a lot of fun and more work than I expected. In a good way, though.

And now, would you like a little art rec? Check out mothwing's lovely Comfort, another in her excellent series of HP silhouettes. I'm so taken with this whole premise: each picture tells a story; each silhouette is so evocative, revealing, and detailed. (And people have realistic bodies!) In this one, Poppy epitomizes comfort and maturity, and the colouring really suits the subject.

My MM/SS icon was done by mothwing, too.

I've been working on fanfic fairly steadily lately (See, you're not the only one, r_grayjoy *shakes fist at enviably prolific flistie and then applauds her*).

But I fear this little halcyon interlude is about to end: I received 36 student papers today and will get 19 more tomorrow. Normally I try not to have all three classes turn in papers in the same week, but sometimes it's unavoidable. My hand is cramping just thinking of all that marking. . . (I still do it by hand; when I comment by computer, I actually take longer.)

Well, don't mind me. Leave me alone in my marking misery and enjoy yourselves with some great Minerva stories and art.
