The reveals for [info]springtime_gen will go up on Monday, so I thought I'd offer a final recs post and a "Top Ten" list. It's been an excellent fest -- fine stories overall, and I got a gift I adore.

Kelly's Springtime Gen Top-Ten List*

(*I'm providing comments only for those recs that are new; you'll find the previous recs scattered among earlier posts. The list is not in any order after the first; I really like them all equally.)

On Heroism and the Art of Selfishness (Minerva McGonagall, Griselda Marchbanks) -- My glorious gift; probably my favorite story of the fest.

The Camel's Back (Amelia Bones, Alastor Moody, Dolores Umbridge)

Finnigan's Charge (Seamus and the Finnigan family)

Lather, Rinse, Repeat (Pansy, others)

Footsteps on Fallen Snow (Draco and Narcissa Malfoy)

Scenes from the Hogshead Inn (Aberforth Dumbledore, Sirius Black)

Hearts on the Line (Percy Weasley, Ernie Macmillan, Padma Patil)

NEW REC--The Unspoken (Susan Bones) -- a nicely-written, perceptive story about goals, family, and finding one's place.

NEW REC--Vault 419 (Harry Potter, Ron Weasley, others) -- hilarious, clever, ingeniously-plotted, satirical, well-written. Harry and Ron are stumblebum Aurors who have to deal with the wizard version of Nigerian spam emails. Great cameo by Mundungus Fletcher.

NEW REC THAT I'M NOT GOING TO REVEAL UNTIL THE REVEALS ARE REVEALED --

I have one last favorite story that I can't identify now, because in the Guessing Poll, people have guessed this one to be mine. (They've also guessed another one to be mine. At least one of these guesses, and maybe both, are mistaken.) I'm pleased about this, since I usually totally fail at "anonymous"; people always guess me straight off. Even when I don't write Minerva, they guess me. So I'm going to be coy about this and enjoy mystery for a couple more days. I will say, though, that I am very flattered that people believed I might have written this excellent story; it's really good.
