Is anyone else having trouble accessing the old InsaneJournal site?

I've been trying to save the contents of some of the grand HP fests on IJ -- you know, just in case the site ever disappears. And what do you know. . .it may have done just that. When I tried to get onto IJ tonight, I couldn't. I tried three different browsers, several different URLs, different access points. Nothing. Every attempt just times out.

I thought maybe it was a temporary glitch, so I waited an hour before trying again, but still. . .nothing.

Is the problem just mine?

It doesn't seem to be working for me now but I have been posting all of Snarry-a-Thon over there, through the Anon ML which went up Wednesday. You might just need to try again tomorrow (or even the day after). I don't think Squeaky has a big team of people keeping an eye on things--just himself.

Their Twitter has an update from today:

We are aware the the site is offline. It appears our hosting provider is having an issue. When we have more info we'll update.

So hopefully they’ll be back up soon!

Ah, thank you! I just hate the thought of important fandom sites just disappearing into the ether. It looks like we can expect to see them back.

Exactly, that would be so sad. But it seems we’re not at that point, thankfully!
