2020 Snowflake Challenge -- Day 2

I'm really liking the fact that the Snowflake Challenge isn't posting a new challenge every day. Having a few days in between "assignments" is making it easier for me to keep up.

Challenge #2 -- In your own space, talk about your fannish history.

Since I've written out my history before, I'll take a leaf from several other people's books and link you to my previous posts on the subject.

My Star Trek: Voyager Fandom History, 1999-c.2001

My Harry Potter Fandom History, 2008-present, complete with a repost of the first HP fic I ever wrote.

Where am I now? It's astonishing to realize that it's been over eight years since I first wrote that HP history post. I'm a bit surprised but very pleased to find myself still here, with so many of you, my stalwart friends, still here with me. These days, my fanfic writing is limited to hp_halloween and hoggywartyxmas, but I still feel the occasional urge to branch out. So maybe this year?

(It's just too bad that the stellar snapecase fest has the same deadline as Hoggywartyxmas. Even though in my early days of HP fandom, I regularly participated in four or five holiday fests, I can't manage that feat any longer. So I regretfully have to pass on Snapecase and on the also-excellent mini_fest [for which I wrote in its very first year]. I'm sorry I can't do more, but things are what they are.)

While I'm waxing nostalgic, let me take this opportunity to thank you all, my dear old friends and newer ones, too, for sticking with me for so long and for all your love and support. Love you all!
