One Final Hoggywarty Rec

For all sorts of RL reasons, I was unable to read the final hoggywartyxmas story until today. And what a winner it is! The fest goes out not with a whimper but with a very satisfying bang indeed.

The premise is a fascinating one: After the war, Hogwarts has become mysteriously malevolent. The head's office seems to have sealed itself, and Severus Snape is summoned from a living death in Azkaban to solve the mystery.

What follows is a triumph of Slytherin subtlety, Ravenclaw brillance, Hufflepuff tenderness, and Gryffindor forthrightness. I love it.

Snowflake Challenge 2018 -- Days 6 and 7

Day 6

Leave feedback for a fanwork. Or multiple fanworks. It can be as simple as I liked this to a detailed list of all the things you loved about the fanwork. The key is to leave some sort of feedback.

If you've already left feedback in the course of a previous challenge, it totally counts.

This year, I participated in capitu's comment challenge, playing for Team Gryffindor (not my usual circus, but the Gryffs didn't have many entrants, so I cast my lot with them to try to even the playing field a bit). By the January 6 deadline, I had commented on 45 holiday-fest fics and artworks and made 20 journal recs. Thus even though we Gryffindors won't win, I think I've had a personal success.


Day 7 -- Nope. Can't do this one. (But I swore I was going to comment on every day, and by god, I'm going to comment on every day.)

My HP_Halloween Entry -- 2017

I'm a bit behind at reposting my fest entries this year. Here's my contribution to hp_halloween, the double-drabble fest that has been my Halloween tradition for quite a few years now. Written for my friend _hannelore, who asked for "fond childhood memories of holidays."
