The Secret Seven Meme

perverse_idyll has tagged me to do what I'm calling the "Secret Seven" meme -- to post seven lines from page 7 or 77 of a WIP. Here's all I've got at the moment, from an original, period (19th century) lesbian romance that my partner and I started during NaNoWriMo some years ago.
"All in all, Octavia decided as she prepared for bed, she was satisfied with this first evening. William seemed a nice enough child, the ladies were pleasant, the food had been well-prepared, and most important, perhaps, she had apparently passed muster as a respectable, experienced governess.
Miss Morgan, however: that lady might turn out to be difficult. She was bound to be inquisitive. An apparently bright woman, immured here in the countryside with probably little to occupy her -- of course she would be curious about any new arrival, even a near-servant. And despite her over-eagerness tonight in trying to draw out personal information, she seemed to be clever enough."
