wrisomifu is back for another miserable November. It's a writing comm that offers support and delightful abuse in equal measure -- one my favorite LJ events. The comm will be open for new members on October 30 and 31. Don't miss it. Write something, you miserable fucks!
• Speaking of great things that are back. . .On Halloween is the tenth running ofhp_halloween. Over five dozen Halloween-themed drabbles will be posted to the comm throughout the day on Halloween. It's my fourth year of participating, and it's always a blast.

squibstress) Promotion -- Squibstress and I are both "Featured Authors" on The Petulant Poetess for October! In fact, it's a whole month of Minerva greatness -- check out the recs here at The Petulant Poetess. My featured story is Brazen, a Minerva/Augusta Longbottom piece I wrote in 2009. I'm still fond of it, and I love seeing old-woman femmeslash get some attention, even if it's my own story. Squibstress's excellent fic is Minerva/Severus: Because It Is Bitter, and Because It Is My Heart.
