Don't Wanna Work

Argh. I have a ton of RL things to do today and tomorrow, but all I really want to do is to start reading all the holiday-fest fics. December 1 brings so many lovely things: there's a Minerva-pov story in rs_small_gifts; there's a 12-K Severus/Lucius at snapelyholidays; there's the entirety of hp_darkfest, which I'd love to be able to read before the reveals on Monday; there's a Snupin and other delights at Kinky Kristmas (daily_deviant); there's a Minerva/Hooch story from atdelphi that I've been saving. Plus, Smutty Claus and Yule Balls are starting up, too. And tomorrow will bring another round of gifts.

So I want to kick back in the recliner with spiced wine and fic. But can I? No-o-o-o-o. I have to read student rough drafts. And grade oral projects. And it's snowing. And. . .um. . .

Well, I'd keep whinging just for the fun of it and to keep up my reputation as a world-class whiner, but the truth is, I've run out of things to complain about. Life is actually pretty good. In less than two weeks, the semester will be over, exams and all. This batch of papers will be done by Friday, and then I've got a fun weekend coming up (fic writing and reading and a Christmas party). I will get to decorate my house for the holidays this year, since Partner and Child are coming to me this time. And I've got FIC to look forward to. And hoggywartyxmas.
