It's five o'clock in the morning in NYC -- I've been sitting here since 4:00 with insomnia -- not a problem I usually have, but nonetheless, I'm having it now.  Can't muster the energy to write anything serious, so here is a fun meme stolen from diana_hawthorne and minervas_eule.

As promised, here are the fine Snape and McGonagall pictures that the Child drew me for Christmas.  I like the way Severus's features are a tad asymmetrical (suggests the hard, twisted road he walks) and the fact that Minerva is a wee bit furry.  I'm just chuffed.

(While I'm on the subject of cute children, we were out to dinner last night, and the restaurant served flatbread with garlic, onion, and various seeds.  After tasting it, the Child pronounced, "It's good.  Like an 'everything' bagel that's been smushed and crustified."  "Crustified" is now part of my personal lexicon.)
