Remix of Remix -- A Confession

A couple of weeks ago, I waxed rhapsodic about Remix Madness 2012. I confess that I was playing a bit of a trick on you all: two of the then-anonymous works I mentioned were actually written by me. But there are mitigating circumstances! If you look carefully, you'll see that I didn't actually rec my own fics; I just mentioned them. In the spirit of supporting the OLSB, you understand. It wasn't myself that I was promoting: it was Minerva, Poppy, and Amelia.

Anyway, yes: I wrote "Purple Lace" (Minerva/Alastor), a remix of a story by thistlerose, and "Colour My World" (Poppy/Amelia), a remix of a fic by woldy. I'll post both of those remixes (and links to the originals) in separate entries.

dexstarr wrote that fine "An Unwilling Bachelor" (a remix of tetleythesecond's "Spinsters on a Sunday Morning").

My own fabulous remix, Somewhere To Be, was written by astrogirl2. I'm floored to find out that this story is only her second HP fic of any kind and only her second Snape/McGonagall fic; she's not even really "in" the HP fandom.

I'm not sure what fandoms she does write in, but I'm going to seek out all her other writings and devour them. I loved my remix. Thank you, Astrogirl!
