I wouldn't be surprised if the "lesbian" bloggers didn't have motives that turned out to be more complicated than just a desire to put something over on people.
Well, in the case of the couple behind "Amina," I strongly suspect it was at least in part along the aforementioned fauxgressive lines of: "We have so much knowledge and we care so much, but we're never going to get famous like we deserve for our altruistic learnings if we don't pretend to be one of those lucky, exciting oppressed minorities instead of boring privileged people."
