Horrified and terrified by the incoming Trump administration? (as you should be)

Want to do more than just vent your necessary outrage?

Here are a few ideas.

No, they won't by themselves stop the coming debacle. But every piece helps.

"The point is not necessarily to disrupt the peaceful transfer of power, but rather to deprive it of oxygen and eyeballs; to plant a flag of resistance firmly at the opening gate."

"Making Trump appear normal is contingent on public cooperation, which must be denied."

"Affirmative actions must be as much your guide and solace as resistance is your fuel and fire."

I'm involved with several local groups via Facebook to do activism and calls to action when I can. I would love to go to one of the marches, but I really cannot afford the time, the money or the energy to get to DC, and with whatever's going on with my mom, I really can't leave her alone. I feel guilty, but my shrink has given me permission to not-do what I am unable to. That said I'm writing letters, making phone calls, and tweeting at people to the best of my ability *and* trying to do things on a local level. I've found that Getting Stuff Done NYC, and Together We Will LI are very good in terms of organization. I'm also following people like Joy Reid who is a fricking goddess.

Ah, I feel guilty about nearly everything, unfortunately. I want to do more than I am, but with everything else I'm juggling *and* worrying about my mom's health (which hopefully will turn out to be 'just' anemia vs something nastier) I just do not have the time or energy or capability to do things like go to the March on the 21st, even the one in Manhattan. I've been doing the phone and social media and email things, but it feels like I'm screaming into the void. It's so damn frustrating and so damn exhausting.
