This holiday season,

daily_deviant held a "Kinky Kristmas" comment fest, where members got to post wishes, and any reader or artist could choose to fill them.

I was lucky enough to receive a wonderful Minerva/Rolanda story from a writer I really admire,

tjswhatnot.

I wanted to fulfill wishes, too, and give Kinky Kristmas fun to some of the many DD members whose work I love. My grand plans included writing for TJ, who left an intriguing Minerva/Poppy prompt, and a couple of others.

Well, December being the madhouse that it always is, and me being the procrastinator that I always am, these grand plans did not come to fruition. But late on New Year's Eve (the official deadline for wish-filling), I managed to finish and post the following ficlet for another of my much-admired writers,

mindabbles. So that you will not expect too much, I'll sound the usual caveats: I wrote it quickly! It's unbeta'd! I'd had a glass (well, okay, three) of champagne!

TJ, I still have plans to fill your Minerva/Poppy wish (not to mention plans to finish

therealsnape's much-belated birthday fic), so stay tuned.

Today is National Pie Day in the US. (Seriously -- that's a Thing.)

Since I adore virtually any pie, sweet or savory (except peach and strawberry-rhubarb), I thought I would honor National Pie Day by giving you a Pie Fanfic.

A few years ago, a "thank-you comm" was created to honor the many fandom contributions of the wonderful

therealsnape. Since TRS is a) a fan of Minerva/Poppy, and b) one of the best chefs going, I thought I'd combine these two elements into my tribute: a Minerva/Poppy food!fic.

Somehow, I never got around to posting the story anywhere else, but what better time to repost than National Pie Day?
