Thank you for reading/commenting! I'm glad you enjoyed the story; I became quite fond of Adela as I was writing her. The plot is a sort of personal reversal for me: Adela is a 12-year-old with two sci-fi-loving fathers; at the time I started the story, my partner's son was a 12-year-old with two sci-fi-loving mothers. (He's 13 now, and he's not interested in writing, but he still has two mothers /g/).
