My Own May Madness

teddyradiator has issued a post-every-day-in-May challenge. Since I've been mostly on sabbatical from LJ these last few weeks (not planned, just the usual end-of-semester madness), I thought this challenge would be a good way to bring myself back into the fold.

Problem: In a week or so, I will be heading off to visit my family, which means staying with my brother, who (you may recall) inhabits the Land of No Internet. So posting every day may not be possible, despite my dedication to visiting the local Starbuck's.

So I'm afraid I will not be able to meet Teddy's challenge after all. But I will make an effort to post as often as I can.

So let's start with a few of pieces of HP fandom fun. I'll bring you up to date on my exciting life (not) tomorrow.

Thing the first: Remix is back!. It's actually the fifteenth year of this multi-fandom fest, though I'll be participating for only the second time. It's a lot of fun -- I love the notion of someone writing what is essentially a fanfic about my fanfic.

Thing the second: hp_podfic_fest is back!. Sign-ups are still open (Check out some details here). I have been extremely lucky in this fest -- several wonderful readers have created terrific readings of my stories (as well as plenty of others). I have such a flat, American-midwest voice that I don't dare try a podfic myself, but I love to listen.

Thing the third: hp_may_madness is back! Write or draw short pieces for daily topics.

I'm starting to get my writing mojo back, I think.
