FIC: "The Lesson" (McGonagall, Snape; NC-17)

I wrote this story for last year's excellent hp_darkfest and haven't gotten around to posting it here yet. As you will have guessed, this fic is dark. Um, yeah. I wanted to explore what happens when people face impossible "choices," when war (or whatever) leaves them no way out and no way fully to preserve their humanity. What do they do then? What do or can they salvage?

From a literary standpoint, there are still a few flaws here (I think the story takes too long to get started, for one thing, and Minerva may be too passive. And the whole thing may just be too over-the-top). But writing this fic got me thinking about erotica and darkfic and non-con and about stories in which powerful women are made powerless. One of these days (probably after school is out), I'll post my rambling, ever-changing thoughts on these subjects.
