kelly_chambliss: (I Heart)
Since I've spent much of my weekend reading fics, I might as well do my bit to tempt you to set aside RL and read, too. Here are some gems from my current fests: (my absolute favorites are marked **)

From [livejournal.com profile] snapelyholidays: **By the Clock (Snape/Dumbledore, with an excellent dose of tart-tongued Minerva). Beautifully-written, extremely IC, touching, funny, wonderful. I left two separate messages of squee in the comments. "'Are you sure, Minerva?' Albus asked. 'I'm always sure,' Minerva said, and Albus had to allow that was nothing but the truth." I just loved this story.

From [livejournal.com profile] hp_yule_balls: The Dreams We Forget (Are Those We Most Regret) -- (Snape/Harry, Harry/Ginny) -- That's right: here I am, reccing Snarry. But I'm a sucker for experimental prose, and this story plays with multiple painful perspectives and realities in a way I find particularly effective. The use (and revision) of fairy tales is well-done, too.

From Daily_Deviant (IJ) kinkfest -- Idle Threat -- (Severus/Sirius/Regulus, Sirius/Regulus) -- Now this is dark. And it's got all sorts of things that usually don't move me -- like incest and chan, for instance, and m/m. But talk about well-written and powerful and hot and painful. Oh, yeah. Really good.

Eep! I look back and see that there's not a femmeslash rec in the bunch this time! But I'm not switching teams, really! /g/. I still heart witches most. There will be femmeslash to come . . .er, I mean, on its way.
