Here's an eclectic assortment of fun things from the world of fandom. I've mostly stolen them from other members of the flist, so apologies if you've seen them all before. (Thank you, squibstress, themostepotente, and friendshipmods!)

Fests!
• Prompting at hp_friendship is going to start on Sunday, March 18. Read all about it here. And then sign up!
• Sign-ups for hp_porninthesun end tomorrow. Anything goes -- het, m/m slash, and femmeslash. I'm afraid it's not the place to be if you're looking for members of the OLSB; there are only two old-lady requests (both for Minerva/Severus, and both are very low on the prompters' priority lists). But there are dozens of other pairings up for grabs if you're a fan of the Trio or Marauder eras.

Fics!
• Yesterday, themostepotente recced a fantastic story called Belle Époque. It's a Downton Abbey/Eagle of the Ninth crossover. If you, like I, are unfamiliar with "Eagle of the Ninth," don't worry. You'll understand the story with no problem. It's narrated from the Dowager Countess's pov, and the Violet voice is exquisite, absolutely spot-on. So understated, arch, and wry; you'll hear Maggie Smith in every word.

They said it couldn't be done! They were wrong! In her long-awaited Epic, the inimitable dueltastic gives us a wonderfully snarky, believable version of a genre I would have bet money could never be done plausibly. I would have lost.

Frenzy!
• HP Character March Madness
March Madness (for you European sorts who are [mercifully] spared it) is the NCAA (National Collegiate Athletic Association) basketball tournament. The participating teams are all listed in a multiple-level bracket. I much prefer the HP version. Just click on the characters' names.
