Not a Poet and Doesn't Know It

"On top of that, she's been writing a book of poetry, which has been more difficult than she expected."

I seem to remember reading somewhere that she wrote a lot of poetry in her teens (didn't we all), but the nuns tactfully told her she was better at performing than writing it. Just have to hope she's improved with time.

Indeed. I definitely wouldn't want anyone to read the dreck I wrote in my teens. But I like to think that I've gained more skill and experience over the years; perhaps she has, too.
