Heh. Now that I'd love to read.... I think it's always interesting when someone that loves a character examines their dark side. I'm not particularly interested in doing that with Snape, I think because given his canon self and his creator's remarks, there isn't much fun or challenge in that for me. I've always liked the subversive fics that show the more ... submerged aspects of a character. Looking at the darker side of Minerva (her Gryffindor-centricity? The side that could call torture "gallant") could be really fascinating.
And it looks like I have a lot to catch up on. I loved "Majesty" btw--it's technically real people fic so I can't rec it on KIA--against our rules. But damn it, that one fic makes me want to get the rule changed!
