I'm so sorry. Of course we knew it would happen sooner rather than later. She was 89 and had a good run. Still, I'm sorry.

I was so sorry to read the news, and I thought about you and all of the people I've been lucky enough to get to know in some part through her work.

I'm sorry too and sad. It's an odd feeling to mourn someone one has never met. I can't quite describe it, but it's kind of a hollow, displaced feeling. Anyway, Maggie will always be who I think of when I think of McGonagall. She will live on in so many ways.
