HP_Halloween

hp_halloween drabble fest was a total treat. The number of stellar entries this year was impressive. 2017 marked my eighth year of participation, and I hope we'll have at least eight more. This fest is now one of my favorite traditions: On Halloween, I look forward all day to coming home, parking myself in the recliner with tea and Halloween candy, and just enjoying drabble after drabble.
My gift this year came courtesy ofragdoll, and it's a real winner. She chose one of my favorite pairings -- McGonagall/Moody -- and, in lyrical prose, gave me everything I wanted: perfect Halloween atmosphere, a clever magical ritual, and spot-on characterization. Minerva and Alastor are just as I like them: stalwart, tender, pragmatic, enduring. Thank you, my dear!
