Here's my entry for this year's [profile] wand_in_a_knot fest. The premise is really fun: each participant gets "tagged" by a previous participant and given a prompt. We then have 24 hours to create a story or art with an R or NC-17 rating. Any characters, any kink. So basically insta-porn. It's a really enjoyable challenge.

My prompt came from [personal profile] mywitch:

You're the picture of the devil's daughter,
I'm a pitcher of holy water.

I flung angels and devils and holy water up into the air, and they fell down as this story.

Title: The Devil Wears Tartan
Author: [personal profile] kelly_chambliss
Pairing /Character: Pomona Sprout/Minerva McGonagall
Summary: Pomona Sprout's relationship with Minerva McGonagall is a religious experience.
Rating: R
Word count: 1425

Title: Good Clean Troth

Reveals have occurred at [info]daily_deviant's Banging Birthday fest, and I can lay claim to my story, written to an excellent prompt from [ profile] songquake. When I saw "sapiosexuality" (being sexually aroused by intelligence) as a requested kink and "Minerva/Hermione" as a pairing option, I knew I'd found the prompt I wanted.

Now tbh, I don't think Minerva and Hermione would ever have a sexual relationship. But I always enjoy stories that make me say, "no, this would never happen. But if it DID happen, it would happen just like this." So that's the effect I tried to achieve here. I'm rather pleased with how the fic turned out; I hope you will be, too.

(Oh, and it turns out that my lovely Minerva/Severus gift, Adversaries and Anniversaries, was written by the always-excellent [ profile] purplefluffycat. Thank you, my dear!)

Title: Sesquipedalia
Author: [ profile] kellychambliss
Characters/Pairings: Hermione Granger/Minerva McGonagall, Parvati Patil, Ron Weasley, OCs
Rating: NC-17
Kinks/Themes Included: sapiosexuality
Other Content: cross-gen
Word Count: ~7000
Summary/Description: The story of Hermione Granger's relationship with Minerva McGonagall is polysyllabic.

This holiday season, [info]daily_deviant held a "Kinky Kristmas" comment fest, where members got to post wishes, and any reader or artist could choose to fill them.

I was lucky enough to receive a wonderful Minerva/Rolanda story from a writer I really admire, [ profile] tjswhatnot.

I wanted to fulfill wishes, too, and give Kinky Kristmas fun to some of the many DD members whose work I love. My grand plans included writing for TJ, who left an intriguing Minerva/Poppy prompt, and a couple of others.

Well, December being the madhouse that it always is, and me being the procrastinator that I always am, these grand plans did not come to fruition. But late on New Year's Eve (the official deadline for wish-filling), I managed to finish and post the following ficlet for another of my much-admired writers, [ profile] mindabbles. So that you will not expect too much, I'll sound the usual caveats: I wrote it quickly! It's unbeta'd! I'd had a glass (well, okay, three) of champagne!

TJ, I still have plans to fill your Minerva/Poppy wish (not to mention plans to finish [ profile] therealsnape's much-belated birthday fic), so stay tuned.

Title: 'Twas the Night Before Christmas

Pairing: Minerva/Poppy
Rating: NC-17

Summary: It was shaping up to be the worst Christmas Eve of Poppy's memory. . .

Here's the story I wrote for this year's [info]minerva_fest. Though it was a coincidence, the title turned out to be rather fitting: the last story posted in the last running of the fest. I'll seriously miss [info]minerva_fest; it's been a staple of my life for five year and has yielded many, many wonderful stories and artworks. But it's time to move on (for now, anyway).

I always enjoy subverting Minerva's Pottermore backstory -- so here's another version.

Title: Parting Gift
Author: [profile] kellychambliss
Rating: PG-13
Word Count: ~4600
Characters and/or Pairings: Minerva McGonagall/Millicent Bagnold, Elphinstone Urquart. Plus cameos by Madam Puddifoot and several Hogwarts staffers.
Summary: When Elphinstone Urquart decides to move out of the country, he leaves Minerva a parting gift.
Author's Notes: Mostly at the end. Many thanks to my beta, Boadicea12, for her kind last-minute work.

Reveals have gone up at Remix Redux 2015 and Remix Madness 2015, and now I can lay claim to the following fics:

1. My official "Remix Redux" was a Star Trek: Voyager story for Miri Cleo, a writer new to me whose fic list offered a wonderful cornucopia of stories featuring Captain Janeway. I debated between remixing her fine, angsty Janeway/Crusher story, To Uncreate a Memory, but finally I couldn't resist lure of returning to one of my favorite VOY pairings, Janeway/Seven. Cleo's story is from Janeway's pov; my remix offers Seven's view. The result:

Penchant (The "Poetry" Remix) (Janeway/Seven; PG; ~1500 words). (With many thanks to my fine beta-reader and VOY friend of old, [ profile] aabbey)

Here's Cleo's original: Poetry (Janeway/Seven; PG; ~600 words)

2. For Remix Madness, I did a very short remix of an atmospheric little piece by [ profile] astrogirl2. Her's is from SS's pov; mine is from MM's.

The Taking of a Toast and Tea (the "Rest for the Weary" Remix) (Minerva/Severus; G; 318 words)

I think of it as taking place in the "Adela" universe (stories here and here), but you don't need to have read either of those stories to enjoy the remix.

Here is AstroGirl's original: Rest for the Weary (Minerva/Severus; G; 330 words).

I was lucky enough to receive two excellent Remix gifts; I can now reveal their authors:

Older and Wiser (Wilhelmina/Irma) was written by Epikoinos.

Like Nobody's Watching (Janeway/Paris) was written by Syrena of the Lake.

Both of these writers are new to me. I'm off now to read everything they have written!

If you get a chance, check out all the HP remixes at Redux and Madness -- fun reads all.

[info]femslash_remix has finished posting (though there's an amnesty period to come). I love remixing in general and femslash in general, and I particularly love it when all the stories in a femslash remix fest feature Minerva!

It was a small but dandy little fest (three stories). (A couple of them received very little response, which is a shame. They're excellent. You should go read them). I've already recced my remixed gift here, from [ profile] _hannelore. The third fest entry is by [ profile] woldy, who remixed a fun story by [ profile] cranky__crocus.

And finally, here's my fic. The story I remixed, by [ profile] magnetic_pole, appeared in the first run of [info]hoggywartyxmas and was one of my favorites of that year. When I saw that Maggie had offered her femslash stories for remixing this year, I jumped at the chance to revisit "Inheritance."

I hope you'll enjoy the result.

Title: Bequest (Remix of "Inheritance")
Author: [ profile] kellychambliss
Rating: PG-13
Pairing/Characters: Minerva McGonagall/Walburga Black, Minerva McGonagall/Rolanda Hooch, Sirius Black
Word count: ~6000
Summary: Walburga Black has left behind more than just a grim old house and a shrieking portrait.
Warnings: none
Original story/artwork, creator, and link: Inheritance by [ profile] magnetic_pole. (I have taken the liberty of borrowing several lines from the excellent original.)
Author's Notes: Many thank-yous are called for: to [ profile] magnetic_pole for offering her fine stories to be remixed; to [ profile] woldy for running the fun fest; and to [ profile] lash_larue and Boadicea12, my stalwart and helpful betas.

This story was my entry in the 2014 [info]hoggywartyxmas fest, one of my favorites. I've long wondered why there are no female goblins in canon, so I decided to tell their story. The fic got all sorts of lovely responses, for which I'm eternally grateful.

Title: Subversive
Author: [ profile] kellychambliss
Rating: light R
Word Count: ~8400
Pairings: Griselda Marchbanks/female goblin OC
Summary: When Griselda Marchbanks comes to Hogwarts to administer the O.W.L. exams, Harry and his friends see a "tiny, stooped witch with a face so lined it looked as though it had been draped in cobwebs." That lined face bespeaks a long and eventful life. Here is part of her story, told by one who knows her best. Set during Order of the Phoenix.

My profound thanks to my fab betas, [ profile] therealsnape and Boadicea12, who made this story so much better than it was.

Reveals have taken place at [info]daily_deviant's Kinky Kristmas fest, and I can claim my fic, which I wrote for an excellent prompt from [ profile] writcraft. It's been a while since I wrote Wilhelmina/Minerva, and I enjoyed getting back to them.

(On a related note, I received an excellent KK gift in exchange, a Minerva/Severus fic called Amends [which I recced earlier here]. I was looking forward to finding the author's identity, so that I could read the rest of hir work. The author turns out to be named Deianaera, who is new to me. But sadly, s/he has deleted/purged hir Insane Journal account. I'll have to see if I can run hir down on LJ.)

Title: Bespoke
Pairings: Minerva/Wilhelmina, pre-slash Ginny/Millicent

Title: The Muggles Have a Word For Them
Rating: PG-13
Pairings: Rolanda Hooch/Aurora Sinistra, Fat Lady/Violet, background Minerva McGonagall/Elphinstone Urquart
Word Count: 8250
Summary: In which the Fat Lady plays matchmaker and learns some new vocabulary.
Author's Notes: Though JKR may be coy when it comes to directly acknowledging same-sex relationships in HP, she's kindly given us subtext galore. Fat Lady/Violet is practically canon (if you ask me), and then there are all those lovely dykes with short grey hair and monocles. So I thought it was about time that someone brought their story out into the open.

The story takes place before the arrival of the Trio at Hogwarts -- c. 1986.

Well, HP fandom, anyway.

Yesterday was [info]hp_halloween's yearly posting of Halloween drabbles. There were nearly 60 entries, with a huge range of characters, pairings, and tones, from dark to fluffy, from gen to NC-17, from humor to heartbreak.

They came at just the right time: I was wiped out yesterday after having been at school from 7:30 am until nearly 9:00 p.m. So when I came home, I was fit for nothing but drabble-reading. I commented on every last one and thoroughly enjoyed myself.

(I got home so late that I didn't even get to hand out my Halloween candy. Now I am going to have to suffer through eating an entire bag of mini Almond Joys [though I will probably save myself from myself by taking them to school.])

Other Flisties' Entries )

Here's my own entry, written for [ profile] dexstarr. I was pleased with the drabble when I sent it in to the fest, but when I read it after posting, I was less satisfied. It didn't flow as well as I'd hoped -- too abstract, I think; drabbles need to be more image-based. Still, it was fun to write, and I enjoyed characterizing Septima.

Title: Determination
Pairing: Septima Vector/Minerva McGonagall
Rating: PG-13
Warnings: age gap, hints of D/s and light bondage
Summary: On Samhain night, it's not just the universe that is disordered.
Notes: The prompt asked for "forbidden love, professors, cross-gen, femmeslash, D/s." Many thanks to my lovely beta, [ profile] therealsnape. If the drabble is not perfect, it's not her fault!

[info]femslash_remix has posted its master list. It was a dandy little fest, with an excellent range of pairings, some fabulous remixes, and three Minerva stories. Here's the one I wrote:

Title: The Good Life (A Remix of "It Takes Two")
Author: [profile] kellychambliss
Rating: R
Pairing: Minerva McGonagall/Rita Skeeter
Word count: ~2000
Summary: On the third Wednesday of every month, Minerva McGonagall and Rita Skeeter have an appointment at the Hog's Head Tavern.

This fic is my June entry for [info]daily_deviant. From this month's list of possible kinks, I chose "dirty talk" -- with a twist. And when it comes to dirt, the outdoorsy Pomona and Wilhelmina were a natural pairing.

Title: Talk Dirt to Me
Author: [ profile] kellychambliss
Pairing: Wilhelmina Grubbly-Plank/Pomona Sprout
Rating: R
Kinks/Themes Chosen: dirty talk (of sorts)
Word Count: 1875
Summary/Description: When Pomona comes home to her lover Wilhelmina, they read some dirt before dinner. Set during Chamber of Secrets.

More not-yet-posted fics from old fests. . .

I wrote this story (my fourth HP fic, iirc) for my very first fest, the [info]hp_spring_fling exchange in 2009.

The person for whom I wrote dropped out of the fest, but in her sign-up, she had asked for Ginny/Luna and the following: "plaid Converse shoes, the Fountain of Magical Brethren, smut, fluff, and making up after a silly fight." I managed the first two, included a sort of half-fight (the girls didn't seem to feel much like disagreeing), and failed totally on the smut (I'm sorry, but the characters just refused). And of course I worked in a bit of Minerva. I even managed the fluffy ending my recipient wanted, and fluff usually gives me a rash. But it was an interesting challenge, and I ended up being only slightly itchy.

Title: Tea for Two

I wrote this story about a year ago for [info]daily_deviant. The theme that month was "Bad Porn Clichés," and of the ones on offer, I chose the following: naughty nurse has exploits with patients or doctors and someone above corruption (priest, nun [add "trusted healer"], etc.) is corrupted

Title: In Its Deepest Being
Author: [ profile] kellychambliss
Pairing: Poppy/Narcissa
Rating: Hard R
Other Warnings: slightly under-age sex, suggestion of drug abuse
Word Count: 2000
Summary: Each time, she tells herself it will be the last time.
Author's Notes: I decided to go with clichés all the way, and some overwought language, too. As always, my unending thanks to my beta [ profile] therealsnape, who improves everything I write.

I'm trying to bring my LJ/DW up-to-date with all my fics; I'm surprised at how many I never got around to posting here (the curse of the procrastinator). So you may be spammed with stories over the next couple of days.

The following story was written for the first [info]femmefest in 2009; it was only the second fest I'd ever done. I was still feeling my way around then, hadn't quite got the hang of anonymity; I even decided that I didn't like exchanges. (You see how long that notion lasted /g/.)

The fic itself was only the third or fourth HP story I'd written. I think you'll be able to tell that it's by a newbie to the fandom; it might be rather too tied to canon characterizations. Still, I'm fond of the story.

Title: Watchers of the Skies
Author: [ profile] kellychambliss
Pairing: Narcissa/Lily
Rating: R
Word Count: 5000
Summary:At the Three Broomsticks one day, Narcissa Black sits down to chat with Lily Evans. A story about roads taken and not taken.
